Upgrade plan keeping same domain name

    Hi

    I want to upgrade my plan in order to get rid of ads.

    Is it possible to do it and keep my existing address (wordpress.com)?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey @sarant, yes, you can upgrade your plan and keep the same site address. Your site’s address won’t change unless you manually set a custom domain as your primary address. So, regardless of which plan you upgrade to, sarantakos.wordpress.com will remain the default address.

    That said, there is one important change to be aware of. On paid plans where you enable hosting features (such as installing plugins), your site will use a .wpcomstaging.com address instead of .wordpress.com. You can think of this as a behind-the-scenes platform that supports those advanced hosting features.

    Once this is enabled, it’s not possible to switch back to the .wordpress.com platform unless you downgrade your plan. However, visitors who use your original .wordpress.com address will still be able to access your site without any issue.
