Upgrade Questions

  I have specific questions that I would like answered before considering upgrading to the business plan. Who can I contact directly to answer these questions so I can make the determination?

  I am testing out building a website for an organization that I am the Website Chair of, the current company that manages (using this term lightly) our website is less than adequate. I need the following questions answered before we can make the executive decision to continue with wordpress’s Business plan.
  1. Can we have a login for members to access certain portions of the website (i.e. the only way to access our member profiles with contact information is to have a username and password).
  2. Is there a Listserv option through WordPress that members can access when they have questions they would like to ask all members of the organization?
  3. Would we be able to have a searchable member directory?
  4. Are there modules for PayPal so members can renew their memberships, pay for their spot at our annual conference, or possibly purchase t-shirts and other “gear” with our logo?
  5. Can we do question/answer page (essentially a blog) that when a question is submitted by a member, it can go out to the Listserv (if available)?
  6. We currently have a “contact us” section that when a member submits a question, it is routed to a specific board individual (myself), as well as a Resource Library that members can contact a specific board individual to borrow a resource. Are we able to make this happen?
  7. Database exports, is this available if for some reason in the future (after switching to WordPress) that we would be able to have if we were to switch again?
  8. What type of support do we get for printing documents through the page?

  I may end up with more questions, but we want to make sure we can get all of the features we need before we make the decision.
