Upgrade questions

I’m checking into upgrading my site for the purpose of getting rid of the ads. I’m thinking of going to the “Blogger” level.

I don’t understand technical language very well.

I don’t want any changes except for losing the ads; I don’t want to have to learn new computer procedures.

I don’t want to change anything about the address of my site; I don’t want a “custom domain name”. One of my posts, “Our Cat With Feline Radial Hypoplasia” has been on page 1 of the google search for years. So google knows the address and it seems to me that changing it would cause confusion.

I want to keep the theme 2010, I like it and it’s what I’m used to using. But I don’t see it on the list of possible themes.

I want to keep the posting procedure I already know.

I don’t want to go to anything “Premium” or “Business” with new sets of features I’m not familiar with.

So is it possible to keep the above-named features I like if I try to go to the “Blogger” level?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, yep. With the Blogger plan, you can keep using your current WordPressdotcom site address; you don’t have to use a custom dotblog domain.

You can keep using the Twenty-Ten theme although it is now retired.

    Everything else is the same.

Things you will be adding in addition to removing WordPressdotcom ads are direct support by email and another 3GB of space, for a total of 6GB of storage space, and the ability to upload audio in addition to the file types you can upload now. https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/#wordpress-com-blogger

Like all plans, the Blogger plan needs to be renewed annually and WordPressdotcom makes this easy by activating automatic renewal. https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#automatic-renewal

Hope that helps answer your questions, but let us know if we can help further.

I want this plan too! How do I get it?

Hi terrywoodall- the Blogger plan was retired in August so is no longer available to new subscribers. *I see that Staff advised you about this plan when you posted back in April when the plan was still available.

If you have any further questions about this please open a new forum thread and link to the WordPressdotcom site you need help with.*
