upgrade refund

  Hi folks,
  I wanted to be in touch, I just recently noticed these junk ads on my blog. I never agreed to this! And, I saw that in order to get them removed I have to pay…in a quick choice, I went ahead and upgraded to “AD FREE.”.

  The more I thought about the whole situation made me upset. WordPress gets PAID to have these ads..I don’t see any revenue from these ads placed on my blog and to get this junk removed you charge me? ok what’s wrong with this picture?

  WordPress get’s paid to host these ad’s place, on blogs without notification…never one notification this junk was there. How would that make you feel? I suppose nothing but as an artist, I’m upset..I pay word press I should NOT have to pay to be AD FREE, I find these junk ads on my blog tasteless. Then to charge me to have then removed is heartless.

  I don’t expect WordPress to care, but I do want to tell you I will be taking my business to another blog service with the customer in mind, not the ad customer.

  I want a refund on my upgrade and I will be look for another blog to host my work. I am also going to let others know about this.

  I completely understand and I am sorry that you feel that way. For what it’s worth, the default WordPress.com site is completely free, and so we do have to run some advertisements in order to keep our lights on. We understand that having advertisements displayed on your site isn’t for everyone, and that’s why we offer this other option. If that isn’t to your liking either then we genuinely are sorry to see you go!

  I’ve gone ahead and cancelled your upgrade and refunded you the full amount of the No Ads upgrade. I’m also including instructions on how to transfer your domain in case you do decide to leave us:
