Upgrade refund and transfer of domain name

    We registered with WordPress today and purchased a custom upgrade bundle for $99 (including registration of a new domain name that we wanted to use for our new website), thinking that we could then upload a wordpress custom theme for our new site that we have purchased elsewhere.

    After reading through the support forums, we were surprised to find that wordpress.com do not support the upload of custom wordpress themes. So we wish to apply for a refund of the money we paid as we will not be able to have our theme hosted by wordpress.com. We have to do this within 48 hours in order to get our money back.

    When we request a refund of the upgrade bundle, what happens to the free domain name registration that we applied for as part of the purchase – will we lose it? Do we need to transfer the domain name registration to a different host before applying for the refund, and if so, how? do we have time to do this within the 48 hour time limit for a refund?

    You can request a refund yourself directly from the Store -> My Upgrades section of your Dashboard
