Upgrade Reversal
-
I did the wordpress.com $99 upgrade, turns out it’s not what I wanted. Apparently I should be using wordpress.org with hosting. Is it too late to reverse the upgrade?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Stina,
Yes and no. We can reverse everything, except for the domain name registration, which is good since you actually don’t want to cancel it in this situation (if you cancel the domain, it can take a very long time before it to return to the market).
I can refund everything except the value of the domain name (refund $81) and then, once you know what hosting service you’ll like to go with, I’m happy to help you change your nameservers to point to your new service.
If you don’t have a host in mind, we have a few listed at http://get.wp.com/hosting/ . I’ve personally used Bluehost the best, but all four have worked with us to ensure a smooth WordPress experience.
Would you like me to refund the $81?
Thanks!

Yes, please and thank you! Yes, I was planning on using blue host. So I will still be able to keep my domain name?
Thank you,

The refund for $81 has started. You should see it on your account in the next few business days.
Yes, you can keep using your domain. When you’re ready to switch your domain over, you can follow these instructions to point your domain name to Bluehost: Change Name Servers
Your domain will still be registered with WordPress.com, so you’ll want to either transfer the domain to a different registrar or be sure to renew it on WordPress.com next year before it expires.
Domain names can’t be transferred until they’ve existed for 60 days, so you can do that starting in mid-January.
If you have any questions or need any help changing the name servers over, please do let me know. Thanks!
