Upgrade to paid account

    I built a wordpress.com website for my father. No it is filled with disturbing ads and he would like to have those removed. I know he can upgrade to a paid account for $4 a month, but I’m wondering if he will be able to downgrade again in the future if he can no longer afford it? I don’t want him to lose his website and so we have not upgraded. Can you give us some advice?

    You could upgrade to the Blogger plan to remove the ads.

    Note that upgrades are charged annually in advance not monthly. Auto renewal could be disabled in the future if you decided not to continue with the plan.
    PS: WordPress.com do display ads but from what I’ve seen, they don’t “fill” your site with them. And different ads are shown to different people depending on the state/country etc they are in. I’m sure that “disturbing” ads must be in the minority.
