    Why is my 12 months registration saying it will renew in 11 months. This is not what I was paying for?

    I understand how that can be confusing at first glance. But please note that your expiration date is one year from registration. Your renewal date is the 11 month date.

    We auto renew domains (or upgrades that include domains, such as Premium) 30 days before their expiration date. Why? Since letting a domain expire means you may not be able to get it back in the future, we want to ensure that everything is taken care of in advance. We do send out notification emails before charging your card, as we try not to surprise anyone. This is mentioned in the “my upgrades” support document and when you set up your auto-renewal. But it can also be easy to miss, so I understand the confusion.
