Upgrade to Premium domain name question

  If I am using the free product and my domain name is example.wordpress.com and I upgrade to premium does the ‘wordpress’ part in my name automatically disappear? And it is just example.com? Thanks! I’m new :)

  Yes, If you upgrade your WordPress.com plan, each plan comes with free domain credit which you can use to register your first domain.

  Hi @mmowens7

  Firstly upgrade your account to Personal, Premium or Business plan.
  Once you do that,
  “Free Domain claim” option will be available on dashboard.
