Upgrade to Premium + Domain Transfer

    Hi, I can’t figure out how to transfer my domain from BlueHost to WordPress. When I try to make the purchase to transfer the domain (which is unlocked) I’m getting an error: ‘This upgrade is not available for Jetpack site.’ I went to the ‘Plans’ page where I’m seeing a list of levels/pricing, but there is no clear way to purchase the upgrade to premium. Please help!

    Hi! That’s an interesting conundrum. Usually people don’t want to transfer the domains unless their site will be hosted here.

    So just to clarify, are you leaving your site hosted with Bluehost and transferring the domain here, or did you also want the site to be transferred here too? If you would like the site to be hosted here as well, I’d recommend starting a new site to transfer the content into, then you should be allowed to initiate the domain transfer. And that can be processing while you move your content over:
    https://transferto.wordpress.com/self-hosted-wordpress-org/

    If you really wanted to transfer just the domain and leave your hosting at Bluehost, let us know and I’ll check in with the domains team to see if there’s a reason that’s being blocked. Thanks in advance!
