Upgrade to wordpress plans

  Hi all,

  I am thinking about upgrading my free plan to a personal plan as of now to get a proper domain name which is like eduvate.com. I want to know that will I be able to upgrade to a premium plan from the personal plan within 5 to 6 months and what will be the amount I need to pay. Is it the entire amount mentioned for the premium plan or a reduced one. This is my first question.

  One more question is when I upgrade to eduvate.com, will all my written content in the old site get updated to it or will I need to start one freshly.

  Please help me out as i am new to wordpress.

  Yes, it is be possible to upgrade an existing plan and you will only need to pay the difference between the two.

  The custom domain will be added to your existing site so you won’t need to move any content. The free address (eduvatecom.wordpress.com) will be hidden by eduvate.com — visitors will be able to find your site using either address but they will see eduvate.com in their browser’s address bar once it has been set as the primary domain.

  eduvate.com is already registered through eNom which means you have two options for using the domain here (providing you are the one who has registered it already):

  1. Keep the domain registered through eNom but connect it to WordPress.com with domain mapping.
  2. Transfer the domain to WordPress.com and renew it through us going forward.
