upgrade "unavailable"

I’m interested in the upgrade bundle, but you’re saying it’s “unavailable”. What’s up?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Gunta,

Are you interested in the Premium Bundle? That’s in your shopping cart now and you can checkout when you’re ready at https://gusgus64.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?view=purchase

You’re being given a reduced price since you already paid for part of the bundle—the space upgrade in your case.

if you have any questions or need anything else, please let me know. Thanks!

Thank you for the response, but some other things occurred to me. If I go premium bundle and decide I’d like to do a domain (it appears that my name “Gunta”.net is available, though Gunta.com is being offered for some ridiculous sum), how do I go about doing that and what are the costs?

PS I’m plowing through your Support/Domains page at the moment (which looks like it answers at least part of me previous question). A miserable cold has my brain stuck in neutral, so NO HURRY in responding on your part. I’ll return with further questions when I’ve chewed on this a bit more.

    Thanks, again!

  • Hi Gunta,

A domain is part of the premium bundle, so whenever you decide to add one, after buying the premium bundle, go to the Store->Domains page and add it there.

You can add one now, before buying Premium, but you’ll be charged for it.

Get to feeling better. I’m about to log off for the weekend, so if you’re feeling better, feel free to let me know any other question and I’ll respond first thing Monday morning.

    Cheers!

I’m just toying with this idea for now. The cold/flu hasn’t helped matters any and then there’s the holiday stuff going on. It might be smart to put this on hold for now and get back to planning it out after the first of the year. Even if that means bumping into my renewal date for “part of the bundle”. Or is this a limited time offer?

I think I tend to make things more complicated than they need to be, but if I do set up a domain, I think I’d like to go back and reshuffle things a bit. Eliminate many of the earlier posts, but keep the ones I like, or repost them?
Cheers, back atcha! Hope your weekend was better than mine! :)

  • It is a limited time offer, but if the system takes it away, I’ll still honor it for the next month (January 10th). If it attempts to charge you a higher price, respond to this thread here and we’ll make it right.

It really depends on what you want to do. I have gone back and “cleaned house” on my blog too (after 10 years… there’s a lot of stuff that I would not have published today!). With reposting/rescheduling existing posts, the downside of that is the old links won’t work. For example, if you reschedule a post to a new date, the old address of http://example.wordpress.com/2012/10/13/random-post/ would change to http://example.wordpress.com/2013/12/09/randon-post/ ).

Depending on what you have on your site, that might be enough for you not to change things around.

Thanks! A low-key weekend, which is nice given what the next month will be like. Feel better soon.
