Upgrade website from WordPress.com to WordPress.org

  I started to create a site on wordpress.com. Now I would like to move contents over to wordpress.org. How can I do this?

  Hi there,

  You can generate an export of the content on your WordPress.com site at My Site ->Tools ->Export

  Export your website’s content

  That will then give you a .xml file, or a .zip folder containing several .xml files, which you can import to a new WordPress installation at another host using the WordPress importer plugin in WP-Admin.
