Upgraded plan from free to personal ended up with another username

I completed the upgrade steps from a free account to a personal on my tablet but ended up being asked to create a new username and now have a 2nd WP account with no site and my original account is still listed as ‘free’.
What options do I have to get my free account with my current site upgraded correctly?
– cancel the new username account today and start over?
– migrate from wordpress.workingonexploring.com to workingonexploring.com?
