Upgraded plan not active
-
Hi Guys, I have upgraded my plan to ‘Premium’. However, my account doesn’t say so, although I did receive a confirmation e-mail from you guys. Can you please confirm my plan is upgraded which entails all features as laidout on your site. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi pier1987,
No problem, I’ll try and help you get this sorted…
The account you are contacting us from hasn’t been used to purchase any upgrades, which suggests you have another account.
although I did receive a confirmation e-mail from you
Please try logging in to WordPress.com using the email address your receipt was sent to — can you see the plan listed on the Manage Purchases page in that account?
If not, can you confirm the address of the site you purchased the plan for? Please don’t share any transactions IDs or card details on these public forums, just a site address.

Hi Gemma,
thanks for your response. I do not see any purchases under that account, however I indeed have received the confirmation e-mail. Something might have crossed because I did it through Siteground?
Is there a way WordPress offers customers support outside of a Public forum? When Purchasing the premium membership one of the perks was 24/7 support if I recall correctly.

Hi there,
Can you please let us know the address of your site so we can have a look?
Since you mentioned Siteground you probably have a site built with the open source WordPress.org software.
We (WordPress.com) are a hosting provider (much like Siteground) that we specialize in WordPress hosting and can only provide support for sites hosted on our platform.

Hi!
It wasn’t mentioned in the offer that the premium account was limited to any hosting provider.
the website is: http://www.slaapfabrique.nl.
So what’s the best way forward? I purchased a premium account with you guys and Siteground, I rather cancel one of them…

It depends on which version of WordPress you want to use for the site.
On WordPress.com (here) we are a managed environment so your hosting costs are included with your premium plan, and we are your host. It’s just one price per year.
The domain can be connected to use with 2 different options.
1. Map it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
2. Transfer it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/To use the open source, community maintained, WordPress software you will need to find a hosting provider. You’ll also be responsible for the little details that go in to a successful site – these are the things WordPress.com handles for you.
This version of WordPress is much more hands on and complicated from your side of things. Here’s the different materials for getting started.
1. WordPress.com: https://learn.wordpress.com/
2. WordPress.org: https://codex.wordpress.org/Getting_Started_with_WordPress -
This is great help, many thanks, much appreciated.
Before I tranfer it to WordPress, could you please indicate what I exactly have purchased. Because this purchase does not seem to be relevant for my current set-up… I also don’t see any possibility to cancel anything, as my purchase isn’t registered anywhere in my Siteground account nor WordPress acount, except a confirmation e-mail.
Thanks.
Cheers,
Peter

The WordPress.com account you’re currently logged in hasn’t purchased any plan. Do you have another WordPress.com account that you may have used to purchase our Premium plan? Also, is there a chance that you have purchased a Jetpack Premium plan?
Please note that since your site is up and running this means that you have already purchased a hosting plan from Siteground. If you decide to move your site here don’t cancel your plan with them before the transfer is finished.
