Upgraded to 2.7 lost all customizations…

  Hello,

  I’m afraid I know the answer to this question already, but I recently upgraded WordPress and for some dumb reason thought that the local copies of the site files were what I needed to copy, not the files out on the server. So I updated WordPress and now my themes are all back to where they started. I lost all of the php and CSS customization that I quite literally spent about 100 hours on.

  Is there anyway to revert and/or recall my old files or are they virtually lost forever?

  I felt the lack of clarity around what to do to update WordPress very disturbing. All it said was, “Make sure you copy your files”. For any non-expert that can be confusing.
