Upgraded to custom fonts in Chateau theme. Lost one of the old design features

What’s up. So I upgraded to the custom fonts. Digging the font selection. However, when I chose a new font, I lost one of the design features of the old font that I really liked. Before the tabs were highlighted in red when I was on a given page. Now it just stays gray all the time. Is this one of the downsides to upgrading?
