Upgraded to WordPress premium, missing editor tab and plugins tabs!
-
I just set up my wordpress.com blog, upgraded to wordpress premium, claimed a custom domain and posted my first blog post. I wanted to install google analytics but every forum and video says i either need to enter it into the “editor” tab under Appearance menu, or add a plugin. Both the editor tab and the plugin menu are missing… I’m beyond irritated. I about ready to get a refund and just build my site somewhere else. Everyone says these tabs “should” be there. I am logged in as the administrator, so that’s not the problem, and some people i have asked have said that I need to host my site off of wordpress in order to get these options. This is ridiculous. I upgraded to premium specifically so i wouldn’t have to deal with this hassle. PLEASE HELP!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Get your refund – No Plugin’s – security and reliability reasons, lots of Widgets & short code make up for most of the missing Plugin’s. Also the GA code will not run here

thank you for responding! i’m worried about losing the domain though because i got it when I upgraded to wordpress.com premium
-
just point the name servers to your new host (your host will give you the proper info) – your domain name can stay registered here – no reason to loose it – after 60 days you can transfer it to a new registrar but it is not a requirement
-
this will also help a bit

Just to clarify if I request a refund for my premium account, i’ll still control the domain that I got when i signed up for premium? So I can redirect it to tumblr or squarespace or another host so that I can have more control over the plugins and editing capabilities? I haven’t paid for the domain, it was free when i signed up for premium. If i just wanted to downgrade to the wordpress.com free account, could i still use the domain?
-
you will need to pay for the domain name registration – but you should be able to cancel down to just the registration –
I will flag this for the staff to help you

Keeping the domain registration will result in a refund of $76. Shall I process that refund for you?
-
Thank you yes, please process the refund, so that I can keep the domain registration. I appreciate your help!
-
I have processed that refund for you. Please be aware that it can take up to 7-10 business days for refunds to show up on your statement.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
