upgrades

I only use the blog for my personal trips. If I upgrade now for more space, looks like only gives me 6 GB, I only use it one trip per year or 2. Will I have to continually pay? What happens if I cancel after 1 yr of upgrades will all my blogs be lost??

You can upgrade to the personal plan which will provide you 6GB of space.

– If you will not renew your plan your post will not be lost but you will not be able to add any other post to your site because you will be on free plan that says you can use up to 3 GB of storage space. So if you want to add post in free plan you need to delete your post until you get free space under 3GB

Hi there, hope you don’t mind me adding that only media files count against your available storage space regardless of plan. You can add as many text posts as you wish, but once you’ve maxed out your media storage, you won’t be able to upload any more media files. https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/
On the Personal Plan with 6GB you can upload images, audio and zip files, but you’ll want to optimize your images for your theme before uploading them in order to maximize your storage space. https://en.support.wordpress.com/media/image-optimization/
If you let your upgrade plan lapse, your published posts and images will remain, but you won’t be able to upload any more media files.

@justjennifer is correct — only media files count towards your storage space allowance. If you reach the 6GB limit and cancel the plan, you can continue publishing new posts and pages but it won’t be possible to upload any new files without deleting some to make space.
