Upgrades/Jobber

    Hello, our business uses Jobber and WordPress is affiliated with it. Through Jobber, WordPress offers a custom built website option with a one time fee. I would like more information on the difference between the custom website and the template, do it yourself options.

    I seem to not be able to contact WordPress about this.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi @entexcleaning , I’m not familiar with their services, but I can certainly tell you about ours. What do you have in mind for your site? WordPress is extremely flexible and robust, even for folks who build their sites themselves, but it can be easier to have someone take care of that for you.

    We offer two options for creating a site for you. This one is affordable and simple, and requires just our Premium hosting plan: https://wordpress.com/do-it-for-me/

    And this one is completely custom: https://builtbywp.com/

    If you’d like to build it on your own, can you share what kind of site you have in mind, and what features you need? We have many tutorials that can give you an idea of what’s possible, or you might like to watch one of our webinars.

    Also: I mentioned the ease of having someone take care of building your site for you. With WordPress.com, you can also have us host and maintain the installation for you. We take care of security and support as well. Some website builders include hosting and maintenance in their fees, and some will just build the site then hand it off to you to take care of. If you use the free software and your own hosting, just be mindful you’ll want to keep it maintained. We have more info on the differences between our services and the free WordPress software here.
