    Hi,
    at the moment I have the free account but I’m considering to upgrade to remove all the adds. Can I do this at any time? Can I just upgrade to the basic paid account? The blog is for my business but I’m not actively blogging so I just wante to make sure I get rid for the advertisement.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Upgrading to any of the paid WordPress.COM plans gives you the ability to removes ads. That, being said if you want to upgrade to the most basic plan then go for the Personal plan which comes at $2.99/month(billed annually).

    Check out paid plan features here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    Make sure you read this before upgrading to any paid WordPress plan: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgrading

    Thanks!

    Thank you. So considering your colleague has advised that I can’t just do domain mapping and if I upgrade to the Personal Plan how would the link of my blog look? my website is neliprahova.com so is it possible to have the blog neliprahova.blog.com. ideally i want neliprahova.com/blog but as wordpress is not part of my website I don’t know how it works.
    Thanks again

    Hi there!
    neliprahovablog.com is available! That could be the domain for your blog if that is what you want. You should then be able to add the link to your blog here at WordPress.com to your menu at SmugMug.

    best,
    dave

    @nprahova
    Having a domain like neliprahova.blog.com is not possible because it is a subdomain of blog.com, which is already taken of course.

    You can have a domain like blog.neliprahova.com(if neliprahova.com is registered by you) or neliprahovablog.com(as suggested by @dave2swords).

    You can point your domain(not registered via WordPress) to your WordPress site using domain mapping. Read more about domain mapping here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

    If you want to map a sub domain like blog.neliprahova.com then read the instructions given here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-subdomain/

    Hope this helps :)
