  I’d like to upgrade to a business account. Is there no way to pay monthly. Do I have to pay the fee for the full year all at once?

  Yes, you will have to pay the fee for the full year all at once. All Personal, Premium, and Business plans are billed yearly.

  Should you decide to purchase a business plan and decide it’s not for you, a refund is available:

  From https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/:

  For plans and all other purchases, you must cancel within 30 days of purchase to receive a refund. If you used the domain credit to register a new domain, the normal cost of registration will be deducted from your refund. If you mapped an existing domain, or never used a domain, you will receive a full refund. There are no refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, after 30 days.
