Upgrading

Hello,
I’m planning to upgrade my service soon but I’m unsure of which to chose. The Premium Plan seems ideal for me but the only thing it’s missing is SEO Tools. Are there no SEO features whatsoever with the Premium Plan? I’m really just looking for the basics.
Thanks!

Hi Alisson,
Thanks for the info. I understand I’m already indexed with google. I’ve been following my analytics. What I’m interested in is increasing my SEO rating, first by getting my own domain, but also by doing things like editing meta tags. I’m not planning on becoming an SEO guru or anything, but I’d like to do what I can with my limited knowledge. It sounds to me like I’m going to need the Business Plan for that, yes?

Hi again!
When you upgrade to any plan, starting with the Personal Plan, you’ll get a free custom domain without the .wordpress.com subdomain.
You can
If you want Google Analytics, Advanced SEO tools, and more, you’d need the Business Plan for that. But, you do get other features with the Personal, and Premium Plans as well :)I hope this helps! Please reply here, if you have any further questions.

Hi there,

It’s not possible to edit meta tags on WordPress.com, even with Business. The SEO tools included in Business allows you to edit the meta description of your site, which is the description Google will list when your site, posts or pages are listed in results, but it has a minimal impact, if any, on your actual ranking in search results.
You can see exactly what’s included in the SEO tools here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/seo-tools/
What matters most to search engines is your content. The quality of your content has a bigger impact than all the other SEO factors combined, so rather focus on that. We have an article explaining how to write your posts to make them more attractive so search engines here:

And you can see all the SEO settings that are already in place by default, even for free sites, here:
