  I would like to upgrade but pay by the month instead of yearly. Is this possible?

  Hi there, WordPressdotcom upgrade plans are paid annually at check out. There is no monthly payment option at this time. However, every upgrade plan comes with a 30-day refund window (except for domains which need to be cancelled within 48-hours), so you can see whether a plan suits your needs and if not, get a full refund as long as you cancel within that time. Since you’ve just started out here, I’d also think about trying out the free version and upgrade later. Let us know if you have any other question about this.
