I’m trying to upgrade plan towards resuming my website (fashiontrailblers.com) however I get an error while making payment saying ‘This upgrade not available for jetpack site’. Kindly let me know how I can get my website up?

I can’t find info on fashiontrailblers.com, is the address correct?
From what I found (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cannot-transfer-domain-from-squarespace/), the error message “This upgrade not available for jetpack site” could appear when you’re transferring your domain to WordPress.com. Is that the case here?
Otherwise it could be a problem with Jetpack (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/this-upgrade-not-available-for-jetpack-site/), but I would wait until the staff confirms it. I’ve added the modlook tag so they can have a look faster.

Let’s start with the domain. fashiontrailblers.com is not a registered domain. You need to register that domain if you want to use it.
I’m confused as to whether you’re trying to add a Jetpack plan or a WordPress.com plan to this domain.
Go to wordpress.com/pricing/ to see the options and add a plan to the account. Once the plan is on the account you can add the domain by clicking

Sorry for the typo, I meant “fashiontrailblazers.com”. I was using this till 2 months back when my Business Plan membership ended. In order to keep using this domain I thought of upgrading to Personal Plan when I got the mentioned error while making the payment.

Based on a similar case, I’d say it’s because there are plugins installed (which can only be used in a Business Plan).
If that is the case, the account needs to be converted back to undo the Business state, so that you can upgrade to Personal Plan again. A staff member will probably help you with this. 🙂

Hi there,
I’ve sent you a link via email to pay for a new Business Plan for your site. Once we receive payment I can reactivate the domain on your site.
However, before the site will work we’ll also need to reconnect a domain to it. fashiontrailblazers.com expired in August and is no longer registered with us, so we cannot restore it to your account and renew it any more – we no longer have any control over that domain.
The good news is it doesn’t look like anyone else has registered it since it was released, so you should be able to buy it again.
Please go to https://wordpress.com/domains and register the domain from there, or register a new domain if you prefer. Once the domain is registered, I’ll be able to move it over to the existing site in your account and link it up with the new Business Plan.

Is it possible for me to switch to Personal plan? I don’t need additional features covered under Business plan. The error I have encountered is while renewing it as Personal plan.
Kindly let me know how I should proceed.

Hi Shawn,
The domain fashiontrailblazers.com has fully expired and it’s now available again for registration. All you have to do is purchase the Personal plan and register that domain again.

The payment link shared by you is for Business plan and I don’t see an option to edit for purchasing Personal plan. Can you share the same for Personal plan so that I can make the payment?

Hi Shawn,
I wanted to mention that downgrading to the Personal plan means custom plugins and themes can no longer be used on the site. The process of downgrading to Personal will also revert your site back to how it was before the first custom theme or plugin was installed (which will remove content and media added after that time).
If you are happy to proceed with the Personal plan instead, just let me know and we can look at the next steps.

However I’m not sure how get back to the domain and the web pages that I had created. Am unable to see any of my pages that I had created (the ones before any custom theme or plugin).

fashiontrailblers.com is currently available so if you want to use the domain, please register it as soon as you can with these steps:
The Business plan was originally connected to fashiontrailblazers.wordpress.com. However, I noticed you created quantumshawn.wordpress.com and purchased a Personal plan for that site instead.
The content added to fashiontrailblers.com is still there but isn’t accessible at the moment because the domain expired.
If you want to continue using fashiontrailblers.com on the original site (fashiontrailblazers.wordpress.com), please register the domain and then reply here. We will need to revert that site from the Business plan and move the Personal plan over for you.
It’s worth noting this process will revert your site back to how it was before the first plugin or custom theme was installed. Are you still happy to proceed?

Yes, I would like to proceed, it is okay to revert the site back to the state before the first plugin/customer theme was installed. Kindly suggest steps to do the same.
