  If I upgrade my site to the $4/month plan does that mean I do not need Bluehost or other hosting service and does my url automatically change to a .com instead of a wordpress.com url?

  Correct — hosting is included with all WordPress.com plans, so it’s not something you need to purchase separately from a company like Bluehost. You would only need to do this if you were using WordPress.org software.

  Paid plans include a credit which can be used to register a custom domain as part of the plan cost. This change doesn’t happen automatically though, you can choose which domain you register:

  Register a New Domain

  Once it has been registered and set it as the primary domain, visitors will see it in their browser’s address bar instead of the free address (christianreflections.wordpress.com).
