  I would like to upgrade from a free plan to a paid one. (I used to have a paid plan).
  Can I get my domain name back?

  Hi @emoore214 I can see that in January of 2019 you purchased atechie.blog, but I do not see that you renewed in January of 2020. https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/

  When I check on this end I can confirm that atechie.blog was returned to the registry for resale, and no longer appears under your account. The good news however is it is still available to purchase, so you can add it back to your account here: https://wordpress.com/domains/add/

  Just type in “atechie.blog” in the search bar on that page, and then follow the steps on your screen to add it to your account again.
