  Hi – I am looking to upgrade my free WordPress site to a paid site. If i do this, how do people with my free website address bookmarked, saved, included in links in documents and posts get to my new site? Does WordPress redirect them? I don’t want to get a personalized web address and lose the value of my old web address. Thanks!

  Hi there!

  When you upgrade your WordPress.com site to a WordPress.com plan, you can register a new domain and set that as the primary address. With your custom domain set as the primary address, the WordPress.com address (the free address) will automatically redirect to the primary address. This means you won’t lose any visitors, and existing links will continue to work as normal.

  I upgraded to Premium. I am going to try WordAds first. I enabled that feature. How long does it take for ads to show up? Thanks!
