Upgrading

I am an author and illustrator, and I would like to start a food blog, which will showcase my recipes, illustrations and ultimately e-books. I want to start off with a free wordpress.com blog, using the Confit theme. Is it possible to use this theme and sell my e-books from my blog, or do I need to use wordpress.org instead? If so, can I upgrade my blog to wordpress.org later on when I have a proper following? I am not very technologically minded, and so am not sure how I would go about this, but want to start off small and be able to build up into a professional, interactive blog.

You can sell your ebooks easily on the free version, although I strongly suggest the No Ads upgrade and a Custom Domain and mapping. The sooner you use a custom domain the better off you’ll be in the long run.
