Upgrading account
-
Hello WordPress,
I am thinking about upgrading to a different WordPress plan (specifically Business, $300/year), but I was wondering how many sites this applies to?
That is, if I upgrade to the Business plan, will all of my sites (and my overall account) have access to Business features or just the specific site that I signed up through the plan? I can see how $300/year is worth it for one site (especially if it is performing well), but wanted to make sure.
Any clarification you could give would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi there,
All our plans are per site, per year. You can see exactly which features are included in the plan at My Site ->Plans.
Let me know if you have any more questions about the plan :)

Hey kokkieh,
Thank you for responding to my question! I have a couple more.
I see there is a 30-day refund period for the plans. After that 30-day period, I assume there is no possibility of getting a partial refund back if after the 30 days something goes wrong/you are dissatisfied?
Also, can you elaborate on what personalized help the “happiness engineers” can provide? Does this literally mean that someone could walk you step by step through website processes if you so requested? Including monetization and other intricate details?
Thanks!

We do not offer pro-rated refunds past the 30-day period, but if there is really a problem you are welcome to contact us and we’ll see if there is a way that we can accommodate you. In some situations we can offer a late refund, but that is treated on a case by case basis.

A plan will allow you to contact us on live chat support where we can walk you through most things you might want to do on your site, short of advanced CSS customization. We just can’t decide how your site should look and create your actual content for you :)
We do have detailed tutorials and documents at en.support.wordpress.com which will explain most you need to know, but we’re always happy to guide you through the steps to do something.
For example, as you specifically mention it, we have a doc on the monetization options available here:
But should you, for example, be unclear exactly how to add an affiliate link to your content, we can guide you through that process.

One last question: can you explain Search Engine Optimization tools as WordPress would help you with? I’m aware of what the concept of SEO, but what service(s) does WordPress provide?
Thank you so much for you help, kookier! You’ve been really helpful and patient.

All sites on WordPress.com have the same SEO. We set meta tags and descriptions based on your site title, tagline and content, we generate a sitemap for your site, and we ping search engines every time you publish a post.
The SEO tools in the Business Plan just gives you more granular control over this, e.g. you can set your own site description instead of us generating it automatically using an excerpt from your content. You can read more at these links:
