Upgrading account requires I add a new credit card via PayPal!

  I have exactly the same problem as happening here:

  Hi there,

  As a fraud prevention mechanism, PayPal sometimes requires that an account be linked to a credit card or bank account, even when you have sufficient funds in your PayPal account to make a purchase. This is a requirement from PayPal itself, so there isn’t a way for us to waive that requirement on our end.

  PayPal support should be able to provide additional information if you have questions or concerns about that.

  So in other words there isn’t a way to pay for WordPress updates without a credit card (which I don’t have) even though I have enough funds in my PayPal account.
