I recently signed up for a free wordpress blog, but I have changed my mind and want to upgrade to the paying one. How do I go about doing this now?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What do you mean by “paying one” – your own domain name, no ads etc? We need a bit more information to give you accurate advice.

You have to register a domain name, hire a web host, install and configure the software from wordpress.org at your web host. Figure an average monthly cost, all things considered, of about $10 to $25 depending on bandwidth and storage requirements.
This comes with added responsibilities. You have to do all installations, all upgrades, all backups and all troubleshooting. If something goes wrong, you have to figure it out and fix it.
Backsup are of utmost importance in the even something goes wrong such as your web host’s server crashing, or the unlikely, but real possibility of your site being “hacked.” A recent, full backup (including the database) will allow you to be up and running again in no time.
Read through the stuff here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page .
Also, there are some recommended hosts here: http://wordpress.org/hosting/ .
