Upgrading from a free to a premium account

I have only recently started using WordPress.com so I’m very new to all of this blogging stuff. I found a website called ProPhotoBlogs.com. On the site it says you must have a “self-hosted” blog with WordPress to use their product. It also says that if you have a flash BlueDomain site, you should have everything else you need to use their product. So, I have a free WordPress account. I need to know what, exactly, I need to do and what else I need to purchase in order to get this ProPhotoBlog up and running. I’ve clicked all around on WordPress’s website and I can’t figure out how to upgrade my account to a ‘self-hosted’ one.

wordpress.com and wordpress.org are completely separate. You cannot “purchase” a premium account
see > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/You can hire a web host and download a free wordpress.org software install, then upload a theme and plugins into it. After that you can export the contents out of your wordpress.com blog and import them into the new wordpress.org blog
