Upgrading Google Workplace

Trying to upgrade Google Workplace from Basic to Standard – is it not possible in WordPress? Google’s admin dashboard just points me to WordPress and there’s no evident option anywhere to upgrade. Support email/chat are nonresponsive.

Regarding your question about upgrading to Google Workspace Business Standard, it’s currently not possible to upgrade to a higher tier with us. The option is to cancel the Google Workspace subscription with us so that it’s transferred to Google. You will then set up billing directly with Google and also upgrade to Business Standard.
Please note that when you do this, you will lose the remaining validity of your current Google Workspace subscription. I see your Google Workspace subscription expires on July 22, 2023. If you cancel the subscription now, Google will not honor the remaining period of validity.
We recommend doing this closer to the expiry date. But if you’d like to do it now, you can cancel the subscription here.

Thanks. That’s frankly absurd that I cannot upgrade within the platform and have to effectively pay a fine to increase functionality *and* leave WordPress as a centralized payment platform. Appreciate the info though.
And I certainly did not leave chat immediately. Every time I initiated, I got this “no one available” message.

And how are we reconciling your statement “Please note that when you do this, you will lose the remaining validity of your current Google Workspace subscription” with the cancellation message I just got saying that the subscription will remain active through the billing period?
