Upgrading My Site

  If I upgrade to the Personal plan for $4/month and then renew my plan each year will I receive an additional 6GB of storage each year?

  I wish that was the case but no it is 6GB no matter how long you have a Personal plan. To get more you’d need to upgrade to a higher plan.

  @themagicrobot so if I do pay for the upgraded plan, if I cancel that I no longer have the remainder of that 6GB, is that correct?

  Hi @auntiedoni , as it works right now, if you buy that plan, use up its space, and then downgrade next year, we won’t delete your media. However, you would not be able to add anything beyond your current plan’s storage limit. You’d have a message saying your media library is full, so you wouldn’t be able to upload more stuff. You could still keep posting and re-using the media you have, though.
  
  We’d recommend against deleting media to free up space, because the images will be gone from your posts, too. But if you absolutely had to downgrade to a plan with less storage, you could go through and replace your largest images with more optimized versions, or move your videos to another service then embed them. You’d just want to place any media in the posts as well.

Also will I retain the unused 3GB of storage from my Free Plan should I upgrade to the Personal Plan?

  Yes that’s correct, the ability to use 6GB would be removed. But to re-iterate, we wouldn’t delete the media or content. You would just not be able to add beyond that.

  Yes you would.

  Effectively, the upgrading and downgrading of plans, adds and/or removes storage capabilities.
