Upgrading & old address

    If I upgrade any of my three blogs, what happens to all the links between them, and links on other sites that go to my ‘old’ address? Will they be automatically forwarded? Or will people trying to follow links to me get lost in the ether?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Any links to your WordPress.com URL will be automatically redirected to your new URL.

    For example, johnsmith.wordpress.com/trips/japan would automatically redirect to johnsmith.com/trips/japan.

    Hope that makes sense.
