  If I purchase the $96 plan and then decide I need the $300 plan will i be able to just pay the difference?

  Hello,

  The WordPress.com does pro-rate the plans, so you will be able to pay the difference between the plan you purchased and the one you want.
  If you go to the plans page on your account, you will see something similar to this: https://prnt.sc/mhqmzy
  As you see the price of the business plan is deducted by the amount of the current plan.
