Upgrading Plan To Change Site Name

  I was thinking of upgrading to a personal account to change my site name. Would I also have to buy a redirect service too so I won’t lose visitors and search results? I really like using WordPress, but I really want a name change for my site while not messing up anything and losing visitors.

  Hi there, if you have a free address with us currently and will be upgrading and adding a domain, the redirect will be included.

  So your visitors will still see the same site, and even links on search engines and social media will still work. In fact our system will send a signal encouraging them to update the addresses. The only thing we won’t be able to help with are any social “likes” since those will be associated with the old name.
