Upgrading site
-
My site has been pretty dormant for a while and now the theme is out of date and can’t be edited. I was looking through the options and think Appleton might be a nice change, but when I try to see what it will look like with my current site info imported, the wheel just spins and doesn’t show me. Any help? I want to get a more active blog, in part because I want to release a book, a chapter at a time, about a 5,000 mile 22-day cross-country trip with my 22-year-old daughter as she played gigs and we bonded.

Hey David, congrats on the writing goals!
Appleton’s front page for the demo uses static content, so you would just get that, then edit the pictures, replace the text, etc. Your blog content wouldn’t automatically flow into the template, so previews don’t work the same way.
If you want to tinker without affecting the live site, I’d recommend making a copy of your site. You can use import and export, or if you want to create a blank site and update us here, we can help.
