Upgrading space to support mp3 files

How much space upgrade to I need to support mp3 files – I don’t need much – just for a few 5 min audio packages?

It depends how large your music files are and how many you want to upload. You can upload up to 50MB total without an upgrade, with files up to 8MB in size each time. So if an average is 4MB, you can upload up to 12 easily… if you want more than 12, you’d probably want to upgrade to at least the 1GB or 5GB upgrade.
Another way you can do it is to upload the files somewhere else (a storage site like box.net would work, I think), and create an [audio] link with the address inside. It’ll create a music player which people can click to hear the song. You could also place the Sonific widget in your sidebar.
