Upgrading to a ‘Personal’ account and changing the url

    Hello,

    I have created a site on WordPress that I am hoping to upgrade to a ‘personal site.’ The issue I am having is that I want to change the site address.

    I am unable to change my url as the access areas are not shown in the admin section. I looked at other options by searching for solutions but I am not very familiar with FTP and don;t want to lose access to my site. I’d like to become a paying customer but need help to change everything over to the new address. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

    You can change your blog address by going to WordPress.com dashboard, and clicking Manage > Domains, click the blog you want to update, and then under Change Site Address, add the new address in the field. Please note that the old address will not be available for use again.
