Upgrading to business monthly

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello!

I’ve just paid £32.40 for an annual personal account. Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware that plugins wouldn’t be available on this account so want to upgrade to business. However, I want to do this in monthly installments for now, not annual. The system is only allowing me to upgrade to annual (I assume because I am currently on an annual plan). Would I be able to change to a monthly business account? If not directly, could I refund my current annual personal plan then upgrade to a monthly business plan?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

  • Hi there,

I completely understand your situation, and I’m here to help. You’re correct in your observation – since you’ve chosen an annual billing cycle for your Personal plan, the system defaults to offering the annual option when looking to upgrade.

To switch to monthly billing for the Business plan, you first need to cancel your current annual Personal plan. Since you have just purchased it, you’re within the refund window.

Once you’ve canceled the Personal plan, head over to the Plans page. You should see a tab at the top that allows you to toggle between Annual and Monthly billing. Simply select Monthly and then choose the Business plan.

If you encounter any issues along the way or have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help.
