Upgrading to domain name.

    I have had a free WP website for around 2 years (angusactivityprogramme.wordpress.com) which I run on behalf of a local project in Angus, Scotland. We are now seeing too many unsolicited adverts on the site and want to upgrade to a domain name (angusactivityprogramme.co.uk). I believe this would cost £36.00 p.a. All our leaflets, etc. have the wordpress.com address. How do I re-direct the old website address to the new domain address. Can someone tell me if there are any additional costs involved in changing to the domain address (other than the annual fee) and for re-directing to the new site. I am not very computer literate so would appreciate any answers in the simplest terms including where to go to make these changes.

    – If you just want to upgrade your plan for adding the custom domain to it then you can choose the personal plan that will also allow you to add a custom domain for free.The cost that is charged on yearly basis.

    – First time purchase you will be getting the free domain and have to just pay for plan upgrade and next year you have to pay for both plan upgrade and domain renewal.
