Upgrading to Premium

  I want to change the domain name and name of my blog and go away from wordpress.com. I’m not sure I understand the benefits (or not) of upgrading to Premium vs having it hosted by someone such as BlueHost. I’m a novice with no technical background. Could someone help me with understanding this difference so I can make a better decision?

  I did read that and I’ve read a couple other pieces that explain the difference. It seems the difference boils down to costs, freedoms, and maintenance — is that how you see it? If that’s the case, what type of maintenance are they referring to? I understand the costs and freedoms part — at least I think I do.
