Upgrading to Premium Theme

  Hello, Wondering can you upgrade from a free theme to a premium theme and keep the same free theme?
  Or do you have to change themes and choose a Premium only theme?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can go back to a free theme any time – you can get a refund of a Premium theme for 30 days

  but why would you buy a Premium theme and not use it?
