If you upgrade to pro do you lose all of your subscribers and followers?
and…
is the old wordpress.com blog that you converted still active at the old address?
Thank you.

Hi Mara. “Upgrade to pro” is just a bundle of upgrades to add to your existing WordPress.com. Simpy put, it adds things, not remove them. It should not affect your subscribers, and your old __.wordpress.com will continue to work.
Friendly advice: depending on your needs, bundles aren’t always a good deal. Check if you really need all of those upgrades and compare the price of the bundle with the total price of only those upgrades you really need.

Thanks so much!
Will I lose subscribers and followers if I switch to a self hosted blog?
Really appreciate your help!

WordPress.com subscriptions only operate on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. If you purchase a domain mapping upgrade for an existing blog with posts, their URL’s will change. What domain mapping does is seamlessly redirect any visitors clicking the old URL’s over to the new domain URLs.

I did this. And my followers said “I can’t see your posts in read blogs part.” How could I fix this ?

@coolberman: How long ago did you “upgrade”? Remember that changes to domain names can take a certain time to kick in (up to 72 hours, but usually less).

No. That’s entirely separate from the AdWords upgrade. I believe they’ve closed applications for ads anyway.
