    Chrome will re-fill those pages with use. All you have to do is continue to use your usual sites and they will appear in just a matter of a few days (depending on how much you use them).

    Thanks a lot – thought that would/will happen, as in the past. Well I’ll just live with that weird ‘search’ glitch – it doesn’t bother me if each user/visitor gets suggestions particular to their own search history. Still can’t work out though why it would just pick up Free Republic search terms. You say you visited their website in the course of investigating this issue so you’ll have noticed that it looks like the format/’look’ hasn’t been updated for 15 years. As for the prevalent mindset … :) Anyway, thanks a lot for your help with this.
