upgrading to website

I would very much love to continue working with you and upgrade from blog to fully functioning site but I have concerns. Lately I have difficulties publishing most of my articles. You’ve changed the editing system and this creates many problems. If I upgrade, will I be owning my domain and would the editing problems disappear?

  • Hi there,

You’ve changed the editing system and this creates many problems.

If you’re referring to the new block editor you can revert to the previous one by clicking the three dots at the top right corner of the editor and selecting “Switch to Classic Editor” option. Here is a screencast of the steps to follow:

If I upgrade, will I be owning my domain

If you purchase one of our plans you’ll be able to register your own custom domain. You can read more about it here:

I do not find the option to switch to the classic editor.

  • Just open one of your posts in the editor, click on the three dots on the upper right corner and then click on Switch to Classic Editor at the bottom.

The side-bar on my page is different. The options part is not there

The side-bar on my page is different. It does nothave the options part on it

  • Can you please share a screenshot of what you’re seeing and upload it to your Media Library so I can have a look?

Also, what the address of the site you’re working on?

It looks that all my publishing problems are caused by your new blog editor program.
I have found the way to access the classic editor and it works perfectly as before.
I will be upgrading my site s with you in near future. Try to improve on the blog editor, it has many kinks.
    Love and light
    Darko

  • Thanks, the new editor is definitely a work in progress. :)

Would you please describe the problems you ran into?

Sometimes there is no problem at all and other times it freezes and a message comes back that it is submitting the article for review and than comes a message that there is an error and to try again but the error remains. Almost every other article that I post has those problems.
I would love to stay locked on the classic editor but I do not see the option to do this
    Sncerely
    Darko

  • Darko, once you switch to the classic editor, it should stay in there until you click “try the new editor” again. Basically the system should remember your preference, per site.

Right now it *should be* set to Classic until you try the new editor again. But, if you’ve switched to classic in both sites and that preference is not staying, let us know which site(s) default to the block editor. We’ll check it out.

there is an error and to try again but the error remains

If you see that again, please copy the error, and share it here, so that we can look up more information.
