Upgrading to WordPress 3.4
-
Hi,
I have been trying to update my blog to WordPress 3.4. It seems there is a manual way and an automatic one. I would like to do this automatically but there doesn’t seem to be any option to within the dashboard on my blog as I have read.
Where is this magic button that will allow me to upgrade to the current version of wordpress?
Many thanks in advance,
Jessica

The blog linked to your username and in the post above is a free hosted WordPress.com blog. The good news is that Staff do all upgrades on this multiuser blogging platform.

Hi timethief,
Thanks so much for your quick reply. I checked out the link and if I am understanding correctly, software is automatically updated for wordpress.com blogs so I don’t need to do anything? Does that mean I already have 3.4 or is it the case that it only applies to wordpress.org blogs?
The reason I am asking is that I’d love to take advantage of the theme preview and customizable header size features as I’m working on a new look for my site. At the moment, I can’t see any option for previewing new themes without publishing.
Many thanks for any further help you can provide.

Staff do all updates on this mutiuser blogging platform. We are already running 3.4 and that “live preview” has been introduced here for some themes. See here > http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/05/18/look-before-you-leap/ See the list of supported themes.

Does that mean I already have 3.4
Actually we have a bit ahead of 3.4 – but as noted above the staff do all the updates for us – welcome to being 31,000,000 beta testers
