    Hi there,

We recently had a website built out via WP, however, our developer will not share our login information with us. We have proof of payment, proof that all content belongs to us as well as all the godaddy information. Is there any luck of us getting into our dashboard or are we out of luck and need to start over? We’d like to upgrade to WP Premium to make some template changes.

    Thanks so much!

I understand how frustrating it can be not being able to access your own site. Unfortunately, as your website is not hosted on the managed WordPress.com hosting, our hands are tied, and our ability to investigate the issue is severely limited.

The hosting services we offer here at WordPress.com allows you to manage your WordPress.com site seamlessly without worrying about common technical issues as we handle them ourselves. Our hosting provides backing up, up-time monitoring, spam protection, and more. You can find out more about our robust hosting capabilities by visiting: https://wordpress.com/hosting/

In light of your situation, we do offer an easy-to-use migration plugin that lets you move your website to our managed hosting service. Once on WordPress.com, you can gain full control over your account, and it removes dependencies on any third-party developers.

However, if you still wish to continue with your current hosting provider, please consider asking for assistance in the community support forums for the open source version of WordPress using your host provider. They will be best suited to help you recover your site access. Here’s you can find them: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

I hope this information helps, and I hope the situation with your site gets resolved soon.
